1. Introduction

Here is the Interact District 3220 digital platform (the "Platform"). The following terms and conditions apply to your access to use of the platform, including but not limited to the features relating to member registration, event check-in, attendance tracking and payment management.

When you sign up for an account or use the platform, you agree to be subject to these terms and conditions. If you are under 16 years of age, your parent or guardian must read and accept these terms on your behalf.

2. Definitions

• The term "platform" means the Interact District 3220 website together with its other services.
• The term "member" applies to each person who has registered as a user of the platform.
• The term "child" refers to any person who is under 16 years of age.
• "Personal data" is any information which can be used to identify a person, such as their name, contact details, photo, club name and title.
• The word "club" designates a registered Interact club within Interact District 3220.
• The fact that the name "Interact District Council" is used suggests that there is an elected leadership body for Interact District 3220.
• By "Media Crew" is meant the Media Crew of the Interact District 3220, whose role it is to develop and maintain the platform.

3. Who is allowed to use the Platform

• Membership is available to any Interactor who is registered in Interact District 3220.
• For those who are under 16 years of age: parental or guardian consent must be secured before you register. When you register, you are confirming that you have obtained this consent.
• When members are registered with the correct designation, they are automatically given access to the payment management feature.

4. User account and Security

• You must maintain the confidentiality of your member code (QR code).
• You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.
• You have to let the District Council know straight away if your account is used without authorization.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Platform only for legitimate purposes and in such a manner that it does not violate the rights of others or prevent or hinder anyone else from using the Platform. The following behaviours are prohibited:

• Uploading, posting or transmitting any content which is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene or hateful.
• Trying to obtain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform.
• To use the platform to pretend to be any person or entity.

6. The gathering of data and privacy

• The platform gathers personal data as set out in the Privacy Policy.
• When you use the Platform, you agree to have your personal data collected and used in accordance with the Data Protection Policy.
• Parental consent is needed when processing data for people who are under 16.

7. Checking in for an event and registering attendance

• The platform uses QR codes and manual check-ins to keep record of attendance at events at the district and club levels.
• The data submitted at check-in is kept for the purpose of recording attendance and can be given to the club presidents, secretaries, and the district council.
• The data used for check-in is kept securely and is retained for the purposes of district records.

8. Payment Management

• The club's president and secretary can use the platform to confirm attendance and to upload the payment receipts for events which are charged.
• The payment data is secured and stored in line with the Privacy Policy.

9. Intellectual Property

• Everything on the Platform is the property of Interact District 3220 unless this is stated otherwise.
• Members are not allowed to reproduce, distribute, or produce derivative works from Platform content without having permission.

10. Termination

• The District Council may suspend or end a member's access to the Platform if they breach these Terms.
• Members can ask the District Council to delete their account.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

• The platform is offered on an "as is" and "as available" basis and with no warranties of any kind.
• The District Council cannot guarantee that the Platform will operate without interruption or free from errors.

12. Limitation of Liability

• To the extent that the law allows, the District Council will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Platform.

13. Amendments to these Terms

• The District Council may at any time amend these Terms and members will be informed of any major changes.

14. Governing Law

• The said Terms shall be regulated and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka.
